Stark Raving Lunachicks

New Hampshire-born General John Stark coined the phrase “Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evils.” Death by the LunStarkRavingLunachicks.jpgachicks, however, is another story. Perhaps it is their borderline personality disorders, or that notorious incident involving the Abenaki tribe gauntlet run that earned the team such a formidable name. The SRLC's reputation of militia-style strategy and schizophrenic-style skating makes them the most sought-after league in roller derby, albeit mostly by men in white jackets. Meanwhile, their antics have generated another catch phrase in ManchVegas: “Fear the purple.”
